Ubuntu 9.10

Canonical Ltd have made another breakthrough by releasing Ubuntu version 9.10 for approximately six months after Jaunty Jackalope has been released.

This version has been given a nice codename, Karmic Koala.

Karmic Koala is an upgrade from the previous version, 9.04 a.k.a Jaunty Jackalope, it is claimed that Karmic Koala can boot faster with a new kernel 2.6.31.1.

Currently, Karmic Koala released as an RC and the Final Release is scheduled on October 29, 2009.

Although still in Release Candidate but it is accessible for anyone who wants to download and try the new features of Karmic Koala.
